Day 1-2: Fly to Tokyo

You will head off towards the vibrant metropolis of Japan on a 12-hour flight. Any time spare when you arrive is free for you to start exploring.

Day 3: Explore Tokyo

Tokyo has many sights and many people, this bustling city is packed with culture. Explore the city, visit the Tokyo Skytree, the world's tallest tower, or browse the stalls of Nakamise shopping street.

Day 4: Mount Fuji

Visit Japan's most iconic sight 2,400 metres up, it will truly be a moment to remember! After this, you will be transferred to the spa region of Hakone and you can embark on a cruise on Lake Ashi,

Day 5: Bullet train to Kyoto

No trip to Japan is complete without a trip on the famous bullet train! Jump on board and you'll be in Kyoto in no time. This past Capital is full of history and culture, it has lots of hidden treasures like the Fushimi Inari Shrine and the vermilion torii gates.

Day 6: Explore Kyoto

A visit to Kinkakuki is a must, this is one of Japan's most famous temples and is set within traditional Japanese gardens. The temple's main hall is very decadent, the main hall is covered in gold leaf which makes a spectacular sight! Ryoanji is another popular stop, this zen temple is home to Japan's most famous Zen garden.

Day 7: Explore Nara & Osaka

In the morning, you will depart to Nara which has a huge cultural legacy in Japan. Let this city charm you whilst exploring the Todaiji Temple which houses the magnificent Daibutsu, a 15-metre-tall bronze statue of Buddha or you could even go and meet Nara’s famous sika deer. You can then continue to Osaka to explore the Dotonbori district and learn about the Osaka Castle and its turbulent history.

Day 8: Fly to the UK from Osaka

Fly to the UK, arriving home the same or the following day.
